I’m sure you’ve heard the importance of hydration, but do you know how important it really is?
What if I told you it could be the difference between running a 4hr marathon and a 3hr 52 minute marathon? Would that peak your interest?
I’ve often said running is the easiest part of being a runner. Sure, there are times we run when we don’t feel like it. Maybe it’s too hot or cold out or maybe we’re just a bit under the weather.
And of course there are those times we’re drudging through a tough tempo run, long run or repeats around the track.
But all in all, we somehow find the motivation to get our run in while stretching, hydration, nutrition and many other things that can help us be the best runners we can be, take a back seat.
I’ve often said, I’d rather go out for a 10 mile run than stretch for 10 minutes.
