Hey Conscious Runners! I’m so excited to bring you this episode. I’ve got our very own Michel Dion on the line with me! You may have seen Michel in The Conscious Runner Academy. For those of you who don’t know, The Conscious Runner Academy is a FREE private FB Group for conscious Runners. You can come on in ask questions, get answers, get inspired, get motivated and meet some wonderful people.  I met Michel when I was writing The Conscious Runner book. It turned out Michel was writing a book too and had created a FB group so writers could get support and hold themselves accountable.

Michel was instrumental in keeping me focused and motivated; especially when the writing got hard. I’d never written a book before and didn’t expect the vast amount of emotional highs and lows I experienced. I didn’t want The Conscious Runner to be just about the body, I wanted it to be about the mind and soul as well, as they are inseparable. Michel discovered the joy of running at age 42 and has since run distances up to the half marathon. A couple years ago I had the opportunity to coach Michel through an injury and to a personal best in the half marathon. This year he’d like to improve on that time.

Michel and I had wanted to record an episode together for awhile. He thought it would be a great idea to get the perspective of a newbie runner starting later in life and I agreed! This episode is a bit of a different kind of interview. Michel asks me questions on everything from shoes to nutrition, to training plans, to barefoot running. Nothing is off limits. This is a really powerful episode! It’s Coach’s Corner to another level!
